History of Hot Tubs

Hot tubs have been used for many years as a form of hydrotherapy. This is the art of using water to soothe everyday stresses and strains, physical pain and also for treating certain diseases.
Hot tubs have been known to be around for almost 5000 years, where the oldest forms of “hot tubs” were found in the hot springs in Merano, Italy. There is some evidence to suggest that people were using these hot springs in an organized fashion to ease their pain and stresses to as far back as 3000BC!
The Egyptians were great lovers of the idea of hydrotherapy. Baths were used in therapeutic ways to treat illnesses and rejuventating the body. The Egyptians also learned that by dropping certain flowers and other oils in the water of their hot tubs, there was a positive effect, therefore leading the way for our hot tubs of today being used in armotherapy [...]
